BREVARD COUNTY, Florida – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36 people suspected of participating in a drug ring that distributed heroin and cocaine in Cocoa, Merritt Island, and Cape Canaveral.
Early Thursday morning, Sheriff’s Agents with the Special Investigations Unit, Fugitive Unit and GameOver Task Force spread across Brevard County to arrest 36 suspected members of a criminal organization distributing illicit drugs.
Arrest warrants were issued by Circuit Court Judge Robert Segal for each of the 36 suspects who have been identified throughout the course of the investigation as the alleged sources and distributors of these deadly drugs.
“As you are aware our agency will do everything possible to rid our community of these deadly drugs and those that are responsible for the distribution,” Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a Facebook post.
“Investigations of this magnitude are difficult and are the result of incredible efforts by all involved. I would like to personally thank our State Attorney Phil Archer and his team for their outstanding participation and support during the conduct of this investigation and also the amazing members of our Special Investigations Unit that work tirelessly each day to keep our community safe!!”

The following suspects are still fugitives of justice: Richard Bennett, Bryan Clements, Robert Plummer, Maurice Reddick, Mark Tarlowski, Daquiri White and Jermel Wiggins.
The defendants are facing charges that range from Conspiracy and Trafficking in Heroin and Cocaine to Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO).
These charges bring penalties upon conviction of three to twenty-five years in prison.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office identified the organizational leaders as:
Johntavious Green, 41, Cocoa, Florida
Investigators say that Green was a major source of supply for Heroin and Cocaine in the Cocoa area. Green was involved in the purchase and sale of Cocaine and Heroin to Kenneth Melendez for distribution in Cape Canaveral.
