Brevard County Coronavirus Cases Rise To 9

BREVARD COUNTY, Florida – The number of cases of coronavirus in Brevard County rose from 7 to 9 on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, the Florida Department of Health announced.

The two new cases are a 52-year-old female who traveled to Canada and a 32-year-old male that is unknown if travel related.

The new cases are in Palm Bay and Cocoa Beach.

76-year-old female; travel-related; prior travel to NY; contact with a confirmed case.

32-year-old male Northrop Grumman employee; travel-related; prior travel to PA, UT; no contact with a confirmed case.

Anita Unrath, a 64-year-old female from Suntree; travel-related; prior travel to DC, FL, NY, PA; unknown if contact with a confirmed case.

49-year-old male; not travel-related.

74-year-old male; not travel-related.

Out of 149 Brevard County residents tested to date, there are 136 negative cases, 9 positive, and 4 pending.

As of March 24, 2020, there are 1,412 coronavirus cases in Florida and 18 deaths.
