Around sixty Our Saviour’s Catholic School children have been stung by bees. Multiple Brevard County Fire Rescue units are responding. A triage has been set up on scene.
County officials are now searching for a bee expert to determine if the bees had been Africanized.
The bees are still active at this time.
So far, none of the children have needed to be transported by Fire Rescue to the hospital. Instead, many have gone home with their parents.
***UPDATE***
Originally, the sting count was reported to be around 60, but the final count has become 38 children stung.
