After the Soyuz-U carrier rocket lifted off from Kazakhstan this morning, the russian Progress spacecraft failed to reach orbit due to an engine failure and fell back to earth.
The rocket was carrying re-supply materials to the International Space Station.
NASA officials stated that the ISS was well supplied and the loss of the craft would have little impact on ISS missions.
NASA is currently hosting a press conference about the loss.
