Manhunt Underway In Scottsmoor

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a manhunt for an auto theft suspect in the Scottsmoor area near Magoon and Huntington Avenue.

Volusia and Brevard County Sheriff’s helicopter units have been assisting in the search early this morning, along Brevard County K-9 units.

So far, the suspect has been able to evade law enforcement for several hours in the heavily wooded area.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, wearing jean shorts and a red shirt.

The suspect is also believed to be armed with a handgun.
