Sailboat Runs Aground On Jetty Park

A sailboat ran aground at Jetty Park early this morning. 

Initially, the sailboat had run up on the rocks of the jetty itself, but is now resting on sand due to low tides.

An attempt was made early this morning to tow the sailboat from the rocks, but was unsuccessful.

A second attempt to tow the sailboat will be made during high tide later today.

Meanwhile, Port Canaveral police have roped off the area and are standing guard until the next tow attempt.
