According to the Melbourne Police Department, 24-year-old Michael Fortman of Melbourne was attempting to turn into a driveway off of Woody Burke Drive in a 2007 Nissan 4-door passenger vehicle.
At the same time, 30-year-old James Doughty Suthann and 29-year-old Rhiannon Howes, both of Indian Harbor Beach, were riding on a black Harley Davidson motorcycle when Suthann attempted to pass the turning Nissan to the left.
The motorcycle struck the Nissan, resulting with the two passengers on the motorcycle being ejected.
The victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital, where the motorcycle driver was classified as stable, but in serious condition.
At this time this case is currently under investigation.
