Palm Bay Police Detectives are attempting to identify a suspect in connection with a robbery in which an Iphone was snatched out of the hands of a 6-year-old boy.
On October 15th patrol officers responded to a Lin’s Garden restaurant located at 3450 Bayside Lakes Blvd. after receiving a report of a theft.
An employee at the business reported his 6-year-old son was playing with an Iphone when a black male entered, snatched the phone from the child’s hands and ran out the door.
A review of the surveillance video shows the suspect entering the restaurant briefly then exiting. A short time later the suspect returns, grabs the phone and flees. The child was not injured. The phone is valued at approximately $500.
“Fortunately we have a good image of the suspect from the surveillance video,” said Detective Luis Figueroa. “We’re hoping someone can help identify him.”
The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens approximately 6′ tall with an average build and clean hair cut.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Florida CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and can be eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000 in this case.
