SWAT Standoff In Merritt Island Ends After Shots Fired

DEVELOPING: The SWAT standoff with a man who lived on 1945 Barr Street has come to an end.  

The stand off began when 38-year-old Christopher Scott Wood had threatened to commit suicide around 11:00 a.m. this morning.

Brevard County Fire Rescue which had been staged at Kelly Park West, has responded to the home after shots were fired.

Brevard County Clerk of Court records show that a Baker Act case had been filed today for Mr. Wood.
