VIERA, Fla. – In an effort to support the upcoming homeless census, the Brevard Continuum of Care Coalition is asking for donations of new adult-size socks and men’s white undershirts.
Sock and T-shirt donations can be delivered until January 18 to the North Brevard Sharing Center, 4475 S. Hopkins Avenue, Titusville; Central Brevard Sharing Center, 113 Aurora Street, Cocoa; the Brevard County Housing and Human Services Office, 2725 Judge Fran Jamieson Way in Viera; or Daily Bread, 815 E. Fee Avenue in Melbourne.
The Coalition volunteers will give out the donated items as they survey homeless men, women and children throughout Brevard County. The information gathered is used to request federal, state, and local funding to help bring about the end of homelessness in Brevard. The homeless census will take place on Thursday, January 26.
