PALM BAY, Fla. — Detectives are currently searching for at least two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery and shooting that occurred Thursday morning.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Palm Bay Police Officers responded to 5030 Minton Road after receiving reports of shots fired in the area. When the officers arrived, they located a white male who reported being robbed and shot at by two black males who stole his car with cash and merchandise.
The victim owns the Gold Mine jewelry store and pawn shop located at the address. He was on his way in to the store to open for open business when he was approached by the suspects.
As the suspects fled, the victim returned fire. No one was injured. A short time later the victim’s vehicle, a Chrysler 300, was located abandoned in the area of Orlov Street.
A witness saw the two black males get into a silver SUV driven by a white male. Just after 2 p.m. the silver SUV was located abandoned in the area of Hazelton Avenue.
Some of the stolen property was recovered in a nearby trash container. The suspects are only described as two black males possibly in their twenties, thin build, wearing reflective vests.
