Indian Harbour Beach Police Arrest Man For Starbucks Hammer Havoc

INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, Fla. — On January 17, 2012 at approximately 5:30 a.m., Indian Harbour Beach Police say that 30-year-old Robert C. Jacobs of 1941 Highway A1A, Indian Harbour Beach entered a Starbucks Coffee Shop located at 1918 Highway A1A wearing a ski mask.
Once inside, Jacobs became loud and verbally offensive.  Jacobs then  produced a hammer and menaced a customer.   Jacobs then caused damage to a coffee machine with the hammer, a display case,  and a glass front door.
There were no reported injuries despite the use of a hammer during the commotion.
Jacobs then left Starbucks and went to the beach.  At approximately 12:44 p.m., Jacobs was apprehended on the beach just south of his residence by Corporal Matt Jankowski and Officer Angel Aranda.
Jacobs was charged with Aggravated Assault, Burglary, Criminal Mischief and Resisting Arrest.
