MELBOURNE, Fla. — The Melbourne Police Department received information from the staff at Emeritus Assisted Living Facility located at 175 West Hibiscus Boulevard regarding a missing endangered elderly person, Andre Z. Wysocki (D.o.B. 10/16/1937).
According to the staff, Mr. Wysocki suffers from dementia and was observed missing since 9:00 P.M. last night. The Melbourne Police Department immediately coordinated efforts with surrounding jurisdictions and began searching the area. Despite local law enforcements’ efforts, Mr. Wysocki has not been located.
The Melbourne Police Department is seeking the help of the public and request any information be forwarded to their communication center.
Mr. Andrew Wysocki is described as a 74-year-old white male, 5’11” tall, and approximately 200 lbs.
Mr. Wysocki was last seen wearing a blue colored button type shirt and blue jeans.
Mr. Wysocki was possibly last seen in the area of New Haven Ave. and Wickham Rd. (Melbourne/West Melbourne ).
UPDATE: On Monday January 9, 2012, Emeritus of Melbourne contacted the Melbourne Police Department and relayed that they located Wysocki sleeping in a locked physical therapy room on the property. Wysocki was unharmed and turned over to staff at the facility.
