School Bus Involved In Vehicle Crash
MIMS, Florida – Brevard County Fire Rescue crews were dispatched this morning at 9:08 a.m. for a vehicle accident involving a Brevard County Public School’s school bus. The accident occurred at 4790 Highway 1 in Mims. Initially, BCFR crews that first arrived reported that the accident involved three passenger vehicles and one school bus from Madison Middle School.
All vehicles were reported to have minor to moderate damage. There were a total of 11 students and one driver aboard the bus.
None of the students was injured or transported. The bus driver received minor injuries and was transported to Parrish Medical Center in Titusville for further evaluation. Accident victims from the passenger vehicles were evaluated but refused transport for evaluation. A representative from the school is at the scene and alternate transportation is being arranged by the school for the students. The cause of the crash is under investigation by law enforcement.
