Titusville Serial Burglary Suspect Arrested

TITUSVILLE, Fla. — On February 6th 2012, Detectives with the Titusville Police Department arrested 28-year-old William P. Lynch for multiple counts of burglary, grand thefts, dealing in stolen property.
Lynch is currently at the Brevard County Detention Center under a $55,000.00 bond.
The high bond stems from five reported victims of burglary throughout the city of Titusville that detectives say they have linked to Lynch.  The locations of the burglaries include South Ridge Circle, Dawn Drive, Allendale Drive, and Avalon Street.
Detectives have spent a large amount of time conducting this investigation into Lynch and collecting property from Lynch’s residence that may be stolen.
Information has come to the Titusville Police Department that some of the recovered property may belong to residents of the City of Titusville who may have not reported the burglaries or thefts.
Detectives have also identified a possible burglary that occurred in the area of Stuart Lane (south end of Titusville) where Lynch is a suspect.
The “break” into this investigation came from an Officer conducting proactive patrols in the neighborhood of Alachua Avenue and Alford Street.  The officer spotted Lynch pulling a cart filled with a table saw, a chainsaw and a bag of hand tools down the road at 4:00AM.  These items that were in Lynch’s possession were linked to a burglary that was reported on South Ridge Circle.
Police say that Lynch is suspected of burglarizing victims in the city of Titusville for several months or longer.  Most of the burglaries occurred to “unlocked” vehicles.  Presently, it is unknown if Lynch is acting alone in these crimes or if he had an accomplice assisting him.
Titusville Police Department is currently attempting to locate and identify more victims that have yet to come forward.  If anyone is a victim of this that may have failed to report the crime, they are urged to contact Detective Wright with the Titusville Police Department at 321-264-7811.
