Sheriff's Office Searching For Kangaroo Express Robbery Suspect

COCOA, Florida — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, West Precinct General Crimes Unit is attempting to identify a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on March 15, 2012 at the Kangaroo Express located at SR 520 and Cox Rd in Cocoa, Florida.

At 10:50 pm, an unknown black male entered the store and displayed a handgun, pointing it at the clerk and demanded cash from the register. Following the robbery, the suspect exited the store and fled south on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, approximately 6’00”, 170 lbs., wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and black and white NIKE brand sneakers.  The suspect was covering his face with a white cloth and displayed a black semiautomatic handgun during the encounter.  No injuries were reported.
