Brevard Sheriff's Office Seeks Assistance In Hit and Run

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Cape Canaveral Precinct is currently investigating a hit and run crash that occurred at 7900 North Atlantic Avenue on April 4, 2012, at approximately 10:50 pm.  Responding units discovered a green in color motorcycle had been struck by an unknown vehicle.  The driver of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was ultimately airlifted to Holmes Regional Medical.

As a result of an extensive investigation, members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Crash Investigation Unit believe the vehicle that struck the motorcycle was a Pontiac Montana minivan.  This vehicle suffered extensive front-end damage and would have been missing part of the lower driver side front bumper / fog light assembly and front driver side wheel well liner as a result of the crash (both of which are black in color).

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone that may have witnessed the crash or with information concerning the identification of this vehicle or the driver at the time of the crash to call the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Cape Canaveral Precinct at 321-868-1113 or CRIMELINE at 1-800-TIPS (8477).  All calls to CRIMELINE are confidential as callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1000.00 for information leading to an arrest.
