PALM BAY, Florida — For the second consecutive year, the Palm Bay Police Athletic League boys basketball team won the State Basketball Championship at a tournament held in New Smyrna Beach, Florida last weekend. The boys from the age 14-and-under division competed with four other teams from around the state to win the title.
Palm Bay’s first game was held on Friday against Pinellas, Florida Police Athletic League. Palm Bay won 54-43 and advanced to the next round against Ormond Beach, Florida Police Athletic League defeating them by a score of 54-52. The championship round was held on Saturday with a rematch between Ormond Beach and Palm Bay. Palm Bay PAL won 57-46.
