Boil Water Notice Near Satellite Beach

SATELLITE BEACH, Florida — The City of Melbourne has issued the following precautionary boil water notice for residents in a neighborhood just north of incorporated Satellite Beach, Florida:
PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE – May 22, 2012

TO: The residents of unincorporated Brevard County (north of Satellite Beach) at the following addresses:

  • 327 – 356 South Lakeside Drive
  • 409 – 461 South Waterway Drive
  • 332 – 348 South Point Court

Water has been shut off to your property while a repair is made to a broken water main in your area.  Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that once water service is re-established all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes, be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice is expected to remain in effect until Thursday, May 24.  It will be lifted when the required bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.  You will be provided with a notification at that time.

If you have any questions, you may contact City of Melbourne Public Works & Utilities Administration office at (321) 674-5761, or the after-hours emergency number of (321) 255-4622.
