Fake-Bearded Bandit Robs West Melbourne Bank of America

WEST MELBOURNE, Florida — At approximately 11:18 a.m. this morning, the Bank of America located at 3003 West New Haven Avenue in West Melbourne, Florida was robbed by a white male.


The description of the robber is a white male wearing dark long pants and a jacket (appeared to be a suit), white dress shirt with no tie, white or tan ball cap with SF on the front, black shoes, dark glasses, a fake beard and fake mustache.

Police say the robber did not speak but handed a note to a teller stating he had a gun and he would shoot if money is not given to him.  The teller complied and the robber fled westbound on foot with the cash.

West Melbourne Police set up a perimeter and Brevard County Sheriff’s Office launched a STAR helicopter in an effort to locate the robber.   A K-9 track was initiated by a Melbourne Police K-9 unit. Police say that thus far, the robber has not been located.
