TITIUSVILLE, Florida — The Titusville City Commission will hold a meeting on May 8, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. and discuss the regulation of internet cafes and electronic gaming establishments in Titusville, Florida. Titusville previously enacted a moratorium on the issuance of business tax receipts for additional internet cafes for 180 days.
On the agenda are two ordinances. Ordinance No. 16-2012 provides that electronic gaming establishment activities would be treated similar to adult arcade amusement centers which are currently allowed as conditional uses within the regional commercial zoning district.
The second ordinance, Ordinance No. 17-2012, would establish certain permitting regulations for electronic gaming establishments. It also increases the number of permits issued within Titusville from three to five permits. The existing five establishments would be permitted provided that the existing establishments meet the ordinances and regulations.
