West Melbourne Man Attempts To Set Estranged Wife On Fire

WEST MELBOURNE, Florida – At 5:30 p.m. yesterday, West Melbourne Police arrested 35-year-old Michael Walker of Palm Bay, Florida, after he allegedly left a gasoline can at the front door of the residence of his estranged wife with a lit piece of paper sticking out of the opening.


Police say the can of gasoline failed to explode.  Earlier, Walker allegedly made death threats to several people including his former wife and a male friend of hers, and had broken into her home and stolen several items of property.

West Melbourne Police arrested  Walker for Aggravated Stalking/Domestic, Placing a Destructive Device, Burglary and Grand Theft.
