CDC Issues Zombie Apocalypse Preparedness Material

The suspected bath salts drug cannibal zombie attack in Miami, Florida has grabbed the speculation of the U.S. public as to whether bath salts will create zombies who will cannibalize each other in more 2012 zombie attacks leading to a final flesh-eating cannibal zombie apocalypse.

In the event a zombie apocalypse does occur following a rash of zombie attacks in 2012, the U.S. Center for Disease Control has got you covered.

The CDC has a fun new way of teaching about emergency preparedness.  In their graphic novel, “Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic,” the CDC demonstrates the importance of being prepared in an entertaining way that people of all ages will enjoy.  Readers follow Todd, Julie, and their dog Max as a strange new disease begins spreading, turning ordinary people into zombies.  Stick around to the end for a surprising twist that will drive home the importance of being prepared for any emergency.  Included in the novel is a Preparedness Checklist so that readers can get their family, workplace, or school ready before disaster strikes.
