CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida — An Atlas V 401 will roll out this morning beginning at 10 a.m. to Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in preparation for Monday’s launch of the secretive National Reconnaissance Office (NROL-38) mission by United Launch Alliance.
The time set for the launch is Monday June 18, 2012 at 8:26 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force station in Florida. The mission is the second of four planned launches by United Launch Alliance for the National Reconnaissance Office.
According to the latest NROL launch weather prediction issued by the U.S. Air Force 45th Weather Squadron at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, there was a 70% chance of favorable weather for Monday’s launch. The primary weather concern for the launch is a cumulus cloud rule violation along with lift off winds.
