COCOA BEACH, Florida — Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Space Systems will host a career fair in Cocoa Beach, Florida next week hiring Engineers, Technicians and other essential program personnel to design and build its Dream Chaser® Space System (DCSS) at its Louisville, COheadquarters. Dream Chaser is being developed as part of NASA’s Commercial Crew Development (CCDev) Program to transport crew and critical cargo to and from low Earth orbit, including the International Space Station.
SNC Space Systems announced its interest in Florida’s Space Coast as a possible location for commercial human spaceflight programs and facilities last May. SNC’s winged orbital crew vehicle, the Dream Chaser®, is in development with plans to launch on the United Launch Alliance Atlas V vehicle from Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
Located 22 miles northwest of Denver, Louisville is nestled within the Rocky Mountains. According to SNC’s press release:
