Brevard County, Florida — Pediatrics in Brevard physicians, Dr. Tara Forcier, and Dr. Jan Borowski are hosting ‘free’ prenatal care classes for all Brevard County ‘soon-to-be’ moms.
Sessions are held at the Pediatrics in Brevard Rockledge office, 134 South Woods Drive, and the Melbourne office, 1755 West Hibiscus Blvd., on the first Tuesday of each month; sessions are held at the Cocoa Beach office (located in the Cape Canaveral Hospital Medical Plaza), 701 West Cocoa Beach Causeway, on the third Thursday of each month. Monthly classes at both locations begin at 6 p.m.
All prospective parents and grandparents are welcome; topics will include the importance of ‘well visits,’ the options of circumcision, breast feeding and immunization’s, just to name a few.
“We provide expectant parents with information needed to care for newborns before their baby arrives. Some decisions, such as whether or not to breastfeed or to have your baby circumcised, are best made before the baby is born,” said Dr. Tara Forcier, Pediatrics in Brevard pediatrician.
“We also discuss topics in which parents are normally concerned about, such as routine newborn care, immunizations, and how to prevent or notice signs of infection,” added Forcier.
