Titusville Murder Supect Turns Self Into Brevard County Jail



SHARPES, Florida — At approximately 8:30 p.m. tonight, 33-year-old Titusville murder suspect Cedric Wiley turned himself in to authorities at the Brevard County Jail Complex in Sharpes to face an active felony arrest warrant for 1st Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and additional charges.  Police say that Wiley has an extensive felony arrest record.

Detectives with Titusville Police Department are still searching for any one that may have more information regarding this crime, or knew of Wiley’s whereabouts while he was evading law enforcement officers.

The Titusville homicide investigation began around 1:18 a.m. on July 3 when Titusville Police officers responded to the 1000 Block of Fourth Avenue in Titusville, Florida for a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers observed Todd Eldridge Thomas lying on the ground outside of a residence suffering from injuries related to the shooting.   Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after arrival of Titusville Fire and Emergency Services.

The Titusville Police Department would again like to thank the individuals who have already come forward with their information. TPD also thanks the assistance of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Game-Over Task Force for their assistance with the case.
