Wickham Park Campground To Close August 3

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The campground inside Wickham Park will be temporarily closed to patrons beginning Friday, August 3, 2012.

The closure at the park, located at 2500 Parkway Drive in Melbourne, Florida, is to allow installation of a new restroom facility as well as the addition of water, electric, and sewer to 133 sites.

Construction is expected to last for approximately 90 days.  For the safety of guests, the campground will remain closed during the construction period.

  • I've been camping at all 3 county parks and instead of fixing up Wickham the county should give help to Manatee Hammock Park. They have a wonderful staff who takes an interest in their campers and care for the park's surroundings.Don't get me wrong The park is great but it could use some cosmetic help. The county seems to ignore this campground when they should see it's the best of all 3.
