BREVARD COUNTY, FL – As the 2012 fall semester begins, a new era is starting at Brevard Community College campus libraries thanks to a new service — e-readers.
These special tools — four Kindle Touches and an iPad — will be available at each library to assist students, especially those who are visually impaired, to be successful in their educational quest.
Each Kindle and iPad is equipped with WiFi access and is preloaded with e-books from BCC faculty reading lists and popular fiction titles.
Effective August 20, 2012. students can visit the library circulation desk to inquire into availability.
Due to limited supply, BCC says that use will be on a first-come, first-served basis for BCC students only. However, the process is simple. Any of the e-readers may be checked out for use over a three week period just like a book.
Additionally, laptops are available to all students for in-library use. They are fully-equipped with WiFi access and printer-capable.
For more information, contact any campus library: Cocoa, 321-433-7250 Melbourne, 321-433-5575 Palm Bay, 321-433-5270 Titusville, 321-433-5066 Or email us at: LibraryB@brevardcc.edu

My degree from BCC is the only degree I have. CERN built the 10 billion dollar Large Hadron Collider, the largest piece of scientific apparatus ever made, in Switzerland to study the graviton particle that I discovered.I learned about the atomic structure of matter at BCC. Currently, BCC is the most prestigioustechnology college on Earth. If you are a student at BCC, you can be proud, trust me.. Alfred Schrader
