Melbourne Car Burglary Suspects Arrested

Joseph Cole Boucher
MELBOURNE, Florida — At approximately 3:00 a.m. today, Melbourne Police Officers responded to the 4600 block of Beck Lake Circle in South Melbourne after a citizen observed two suspects hiding between parked cars.  The suspects were in dark clothing and hiding between the vehicles that were parked in the back cul-de-sac. The responding officers say they were able to watch the suspects enter a small white vehicle. The vehicle then attempted to leave but was stopped by the officers.

Melbourne police say that their subsequent investigation revealed that these suspects Kenneth Jordan, age 20, Nicole Fleming, age 21, and Joseph Cole Boucher, also 21, were allegedly responsible for a minimum of five vehicle burglaries in the area.

If any citizens live in this area and found that their vehicles have been rummaged through over the night, police ask that you please contact the Melbourne Police Department at 321-409-2200.

Police say the investigation revealed that these burglars checked for open car doors and then entered these unlocked vehicles.

The Melbourne Police Department would like to remind citizens to lock their vehicles after they leave them as “flipping door handles” is the most common method of victimization. It is the most common and the most preventable.

Kenneth Jordan
The Melbourne Police Department asks that if you have any information related to these incidents, please call Crime line: 1-800-423-TIPS (8477)
