Palm Bay Public Meeting For Harris Campus Upgrade

PALM BAY, Florida — The City of Palm Bay, in cooperation with Harris Corporation, will conduct a public meeting for the Troutman/Clearmont realignment design project.  The project begins south of Charles J. Herbert Drive near the Palm Bay Utility Department to Palm Bay Road.  The project affects both Troutman Boulevard and Clearmont Street within these limits.
Harris Corporation is investing $100 million dollars to upgrade their Palm Bay campus.  The first phase of the plan will build a new and efficient building while removing many of the older facilities within the plant.
As such, the City has partnered with Harris to realign Troutman Boulevard and connect it to Clearmont Street, which is a parallel facility.  Clearmont Street will be improved to accommodate the additional traffic. Within the project limits, the new road will remain a 4-lane roadway with curb and gutter, sidewalks and landscaping within the median.
The purpose of the meeting is to present the project to the public.  City officials will be available during the meeting to informally discuss the project and answer questions.  Attendees are encouraged to come to the meeting any time between 5:15 p.m. -7: 00 p.m.  The formal presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m.

  • And you bet your greedy behinds that Sleepy Hollow residents will be at the Oct. 4th meeting to VACATE this selfish and unnecessary "project."

  • Absolutely! This is outrageous! We have lived back here for 25 years. Now GREEDY Harris wants Clearmont? I think not! See you Thursday night!
