COCOA BEACH, Florida — Waves, wind, and rain generated by Tropical Storm Isaac pound Brevard County beaches over the last 48 hours.
While under a tornado watch Monday morning, waves washed against sea turtle nests in south Cocoa Beach while winds pushed medical waste onto shore as lightning thundered offshore.
Sunday, surfers and tourists enjoyed the thrill of the rough surf under the careful watch of Brevard County lifeguards while spectators ventured to the end of the Cocoa Beach Pier to experience the feeling of large wave pounding against the pier pilings.
