McDonald's Restroom Attacker Suspect Arrested


PALM BAY, Florida — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office announced that the GAMEOVER Task Force has located and arrested 43-year-old Terrence Lakeman in Palm Bay, Florida.
Upon being confronted by members of the Task Force, deputies say Lakeman physically resisted.  However, he was taken into custody without any injuries to either him or law enforcement personnel.

Lakeman, a Jamaican National, will be transported to the Brevard County Jail Complex where he will be held on a No Bond status reference his outstanding warrants.

Lakeman was wanted on outstanding warrants for the charge of aggravated stalking.  Lakeman is also suspected in the violent beating of his former girlfriend that occurred at the McDonald’s Restaurant located at 5370 Stadium Parkway, in Viera, Florida earlier today.


Today’s incident took place in the bathroom of the McDonald’s, at approximately 9:45 a.m., after a scheduled court hearing was cancelled.  Lakeman allegedly followed the victim to the restaurant and watched her from the parking lot.  Upon observing the victim entering the restroom, the suspect entered the restaurant and immediately walked in to the restroom.

Once alone with the victim, she was violently beaten and left critically injured on the restroom floor.  The suspect then exited the restaurant and was observed by witnesses leaving the scene in the above described vehicle.  The victim was transported by a life flight helicopter to a Trauma Center where she has been upgraded to stable condition.  The investigation into this incident is still ongoing.

  • I am the daughter of terrence lakeman , ashley lakeman I have spoke to my father every day but he never spoke of hurting her my father has been threw a lot to push him to this point I do not under any way believe putting your hands on a women I believe he is where he needs to be but he is not a monster he is a great father and trys his best to be all he can be !!

  • I also worked with T. Lakeman. Great guy and its sad that this woman stayed with him through all the abuse. She has been pressing charges and taking him back off and on for years. Now its to the point that he may kill her..If a woman allows her man to beat her for years, she should be blamed as well.
