ORMOND BEACH, Florida – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Daytona Beach Field Office is requesting the public’s help in locating Harold Douglas Blue, 54. A warrant was issued for Blue on Sept. 12, 2012 on felony charges of organized scheme to defraud.
The investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly defrauded multiple victims through a timeshare resale scheme. Blue allegedly targeted timeshare owners while employed by his previous employer, Marketing Direct Timeshare Services, LLC, in Ormond Beach, Fla. and through his own company, Blue Chip Marketing.
While his home address is unknown, FDLE says that Blue frequents the Beach Haven Motel, 2115 S Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores and 137 C Golden Eye Drive (Pelican Bay) Daytona Beach, Fla.
Blue maybe driving or riding in a 1994 white, Buick Park Avenue, four door sedan with a Florida tag, number AKAM46, owned by his girlfriend, Dale Bellamy.
Blue has recently been seen driving this vehicle in the areas around Palmetto Avenue and South Ridgewood Avenue, south of International Speedway Boulevard.
According to investigators, Blue allegedly contacted people who wanted to sell their timeshare properties. Blue advised them he had a “prequalified buyer” for their timeshares when he did not. Blue would coerce the sellers into signing a listing contract and then charged the sellers closing costs for the fictitious sales. The typical loss relating to the “closing costs” was $400 to $800.
