MIMS, Florida — The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that a fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Brevard County, Florida around 11:00 p.m. Saturday night.
Troopers say that 73-year-old Ronald Jones of Oak Hill, Florida did not survive the injuries he sustained after his 2011 Honda motorcycle crashed near the intersection of U.S. Highway 1 and Sunset Avenue near Mims, Florida.
According to FHP, Jones was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 1 when, for an unknown reason, his motorcycle left the roadway and traveled onto the nearby shoulder. The Honda was overturned and Jones was ejected.
Jones was transported to Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Florida where he was pronounced deceased.
