USAF F-22 Raptor Crashes In Florida

PANAMA CITY, Florida — An F-22 Raptor crashed about 15 miles east of Panama City, Florida at 3:30 p.m. yesterday on Tyndall Air Force Base one quarter mile east of a drone runway.



Highway 98 was closed on the Florida panhandle from Dupont Bridge to the “Welcome to Mexico Beach” sign as a safety precaution. However, The crash was not on Highway 98.


The U.S. Air Force says that the pilot ejected from the aircraft safely and is under the supervision of the 325th Medical Group. 

The F-22 crash remains under investigation.
