COCOA, Florida — The City of Cocoa Council voted 4 to 1 in a Special Meeting to repeal in its entirety, Public Decency Ordinance 23-2012, more commonly known as the Cocoa Saggy Pants Law.
Newly-elected City of Cocoa Mayor cited concerns that the ordinance could expose the City of Cocoa to legal hassles.
“While I think this style is ridiculous, I believe too that it is is a fad, and will fade away in time,” said Cocoa Deputy Mayor Tyler Furbish.
The City Council also voted that no enforcement of the ordinance will take place pending the second reading of the ordinance. The Saggy Pants law becomes effective January 1, 2012

I think fascist, out of touch, city politicos are stupid. How you going to pass laws telling people how to dress? What right do you have to determine my appearance?Good thing you had second thoughts, I was looking forward to getting my sag on and suing the city for harassment...
How about the fact that I don't want to see your nasty butt hanging out in front of me while I am a decent dressed citizen walking down the street? Pure common decency is all it comes down to and our young people don't have any concept of that. I think we elders need to start walking around with slingshots and shooting these nitwits in the ass every time we see one hanging in our face.
