COCOA, Florida — Earlier today, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on Kronic AM, located at 26 Forrest Avenue in Cocoa, Florida.
Sheriff’s Agents arrested the owner, 37- year-old Brian Woodring, for an arrest warrant relating to the Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with the Intent to Distribute.
The investigation began on March 25, 2013, when Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a store employee for allegedly selling alcohol to a person under 21-years-of-age. While completing that investigation, Deputies observed several items of alleged drug paraphernalia on display for retail sale. The items, which are commonly referred to as “Whippets” or “Whip-its”, are filled with nitrous oxide and are inhaled by users. The items were seized and an arrest warrant was prepared.
On March 29, 2013, Sheriff’s Agents responded to the business and arrested Woodring without incident at which time the Deputies discovered the business shelves had been re- stocked with the additional items of alleged paraphernalia for sale.
Woodring was transported to the Brevard County Jail Complex under a $25,000 bond.
“To see children and young adults from all aspects of life ingesting these chemicals with absolutely no idea what it will do to their bodies is truly sad,” Sheriff Wayne Ivey said. “Please call the Sh eriff’s Office or your local Police Department if you have any questions concerning suspicious items. We can assist by giving you the information needed to help keep your children safe.”
Anyone with information concerning the investigation is urged to call the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division at 321-633-1216 or CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). All calls to CRIMELINE are confidential, and callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward for information leading to an arrest.

There's a restaurant supply store across the street from the business where he was arrested that sells the exact same thing
I remember these being abused in the 1970's. Bad stuff. Parents: There is a cylinder holder they put the cartridge in, strap a punching balloon on the end and fill that up. So, if you find these items in your kids room...
its all slander. They are legal to sell in Florida
Then I would like to know why it says European only?
Here's an idea. How about doing something about the drug dealers on the corner of Aurora & Jackson St. in Cocoa? A corner about a 1/4 mile from the Police Station. That would take care of the noise problem (Loud blasting music, horns, screaming and loud cursing), the double parking, the burn outs (human & car) and the litter along with the sale of illegal substances on the corner. Yes, that would be nice. Maybe the housing values would go back up over 20K too!
Maybe Amazon.com should be arrested too. The original problem of underage alcohol is worthy of tax dollars but this, not so much. While whipp its certainly risk being abused, sale is not illegal. The inhalation of gas is illegal. It is my understanding that "crackers" are considered illegal because they only serve one purpose, dispensing the gas outside of its intended "food-processing propellant" to fill balloons. These are 8 gram cartridges. If sold individually, how does that violate "(4) Any person who knowingly distributes, sells, purchases, transfers, or possesses more than 16 grams of nitrous oxide commits a felony of the third degree which shall be known as unlawful distribution of nitrous oxide, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084." The article simply states that he was in possession. Of course, a box certainly contains more than 16 grams. However, boxes of this item are available at numerous outlets and they are packaged as the legal "food processing propellant." Are all of these stores, including Amazon and the nearby restaurant supply company, illegal? How about any other restaurant supply company in the county? Bakeries? Were these being sold to minors or legal adults? But then again, possession not sale was the charge given.http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=0800-0899/0877/Sections/0877.111.html
There were no meth heads committing robberies? No child molesters to bust? No drunk drivers? No gangs to bust? Did they use the helicopter on this 'sting'? What a joke. Free America, where we tell people what they can and cannot put in their bodies all for the purpose of propping up and out of control justice department. 6% of the worlds population, 25% of the jailed people on the planet, yet real crime rates are falling. Wake up America....
Ivey wil be out of office next election if he continues to waste our tax dollars on this nonsense as well as breaking laws himself to harrass business owners
