ORLANDO, Florida — Disney Parks announced on Saturday that children under 14 unescorted by someone older would not be permitted in its theme parks.
“If a cast member who is working at the front gates sees a guest who appears to be younger than 14 without someone who appears to be older than that, they will engage in a conversation with the guest,” Disney spokeswoman Suzi Brown told NBC4.
According to the Walt Disney World website, a “Child Ticket” still remains for ages 3-9 while children 10 and over are charged the same price as adults.
But kids, there are some activities where parents are persona non grata (not welcomed) at Disney Parks, such as Alice’s Tea Party at the Grand Floridian Resort in Walt Disney World.

well Disney is playing both sides here... making kids over 9 pat for an adult ticket, but not letting them in unless they are 14.... hummmm.... they should not be allowed to have it both ways....
Gee Disney if they are adults then can they order beer and wine in your parks? I mean after all you say they are adults. The only reason they are starting to do this and I do agree with Disney on this part, is the recent increase in their liability with kids running around getting harrassed, assulted, and those same kids harassing other guests, the characters, ect. Disney is not in the baby sitting business and kids that young should not be in a large park like that without supervision. If parents can not get off their lazy butts and be with their kids or have a relative escort them then they have no business being parents.
I used to work there. The kids under 14 damage equipment and are a lawsuit waiting to happen, I concur.
