Explosive Devices Close UCF Main Campus Until 12 p.m.

ORLANDO, Florida — All classes scheduled to start before noon today are canceled on the University of Central Florida main campus in Orlando while UCF police investigate a suspected suicide where improvised explosive devices were found at the scene in the Tower 1 residence hall in Knights Plaza, according to UCF’s website.


UCF says that essential personnel should report to work, but other employees are asked to stay off campus until noon.


According to the latest updates on UCF’s Facebook page:
The explosive devices found in Tower 1, and not in the garage.  Garage G is now open.  Also, evacuated students can get help at the Veteran’s Academic Resource Center near the UCF Arena. No one has been evacuated to the stadium.

The campus will re-open at noon.
