ROCKLEDGE, Fla.–The City of Rockledge and the Rockledge Community Redevelopment Agency will host TheDailyCity.com’s “The Food Truck Bazaar” for the third time on Thursday, May 2, 2013, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Barton Commons Shopping Center, 182-282 Barton Blvd., Rockledge.
All food trucks for this event are provided courtesy of “The Food Truck Bazaar,” Central Florida’s original, traveling culinary extravaganza, which reaches an audience of 12,000 people on average each month. The Food Truck Bazaar was created by and is produced by the owner of TheDailyCity.com, Mark Baratelli.
Over a dozen of the mobile gourmet kitchens will roll into Rockledge and serve up a wide variety of cuisines to hundreds of customers. Barton Commons’ own establishment, Vintage 56, will offer beer and wine for sale, and music will be provided courtesy of DJ Master Key.
“We hosted our first food truck event in December 2012 at Barton Commons and our second in January 2013 at Three Meadows Plaza. I think we were all a little amazed by the number of people that came out to support both events – the attendance was unbelievable,” said Lisa Nicholas, redevelopment coordinator for the Rockledge Community Redevelopment Agency. “It was truly a lot of fun; the atmosphere was laid back and relaxed, and our retail centers were able to garner a tremendous amount of exposure and publicity. We’re definitely looking forward to this one,” Nicholas said.
For those that have not attended a previous food truck event, there are a couple of things to keep in mind: most vendors accept credit cards; long lines are not uncommon, so comfortable shoes might be good; think tailgating – bring a camping chair and/or folding table; and, of course, enjoy the food.
