PALM BAY, Florida – Food Truck Wars is coming to Palm Bay on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Brevard Community College Fairgrounds located at 250 Community College Parkway.
The event features 40 gourmet food trucks from all over the state competing for five prestigious prizes awarded by celebrity judges. The competition includes five categories: the Spirit Award, Top Sales, Delectable Desserts, Causal Cuisine and the coveted People’s Choice Award. The food trucks are all in it to win it!
“It’s exciting to see Food Truck Wars coming to Palm Bay,” says Heidi Lapin, Director of Parks & Recreation, “Food truck events are a hot trend all across the country and it’s great to be able to hold an event like this in Palm Bay.”
The event brings a variety of food choices from Thai and Mexican dishes to lobster and everything in between. There will also be a variety of desert choices available. The prices range from $3 to $18 with many entrees averaging between $6 and $8. The event is designed to be a festival type atmosphere with a vast array of food choices to create a unique dining experience.
“Food Truck Wars is an amazing experience,” said Liz Rivera Otts, President of Food Truck Crazy, Inc., the show’s producer. “We look forward to seeing a great turn out in Palm Bay.”
There will be a designated area for children’s activities and live music throughout the day. Parking and admission are free. “Bring your family and friends to this terrific ‘foodie’ event and find out what all the ‘Food Truck Wars’ hype is about,” Lapin added.
Directions from Interstate 95: Take Exit 173, west on Malabar Rd, turn left onto San Filippo Dr., then left onto Community College Parkway.
