PALM BAY, Florida – The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that 45-year-old Roberto A Pineda Romero did not survive the injuries he sustained in a motorcycle crash this morning.
According to the crash report, Romero was riding a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle at a high rate of speed westbound on Malabar Road (State Road 514) near Glatter Road at 2:25 a.m. on Saturday. Troopers determined that Romero failed to negotiate a curve in the road and traveled onto the grass shoulder.
The Yamaha overturned multiple times, ejecting Romero, before the motorcycle crashed into the tree line. Romero, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported from the scene to Palm Bay Hospital.
Troopers believe alcohol was related with this accident.
