COCOA, Florida — Agents from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early this morning at the Kangaroo Express located at 4775 Fay Blvd, Cocoa.
Shortly before 3:00 a.m., on June 5, 2013, a robber entered the Kangaroo Express and walked up to the front counter to make a purchase. Once the store clerk opened the cash register, the robber demanded the cash from the register while keeping his right hand in his jacket pocket implying he had a weapon. The store clerk complied with the robber’s demands and was not injured.
The robber then fled the store eastbound towards Adams Avenue with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The armed robbery suspect is described as a black male, 17 to 22 years of age, approximately 5’08″, weighing between 150 and 170 Lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing blue shorts with a white reflective stripe black jacket, bright orange (Texas Longhorns) baseball hat, and black and white tennis shoes.
