MERRITT ISLAND, Florida — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Aflac Insurance Office located at 2094 North Courtenay Parkway (State Road 3) in Merritt Island, Florida.
At approximately 9:55 a.m., a white man in his early 20’s, wearing a white shirt, black pants, black baseball cap, with some facial hair and a thin build, entered the business.
The suspect bound the employee, taking the victim at gunpoint in the victim’s vehicle and drove to a nearby bank. Deputies say that the suspect then forced the victim to withdraw money and then returned the victim back to the business.
The suspect then fled the area in the victim’s four door, cream colored, 2003 Mitsubishi Diamante. The vehicle is missing the front bumper and has tinted windows, which are peeling off.
