LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida and ANAHEIM, California — Visiting the happiest place on Earth just got a little more expensive. Disney Parks announced that, beginning Sunday, June 2, 2013, prices for an adult one-day, one-park ticket at both the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California have been raised to $90 and $92, respectively. Magic Kingdom tickets are more expensive than any of the other U.S. Disney Parks at $95. A ticket for children ages 3 to 9 will cost $6 less than adults at both resorts.
Parking prices have also been raised to $15 in Florida and $16 in California.
Florida resident ticket prices have also increased, but are still much lower than the single ticket rate. A Walt Disney World Florida resident 3-day, 3-park pass is $179 for adults and $167 for children ages 3-9. A 4-day, 4-park pass costs $20 extra.
Florida Resident passes have also increased to:
$464 Annual
$584 Premium Annual
$309 Seasonal
Magic Kingdom ticket prices have increased 35% following the global financial collapse in 2007 when Central Florida tourism and hotel occupancy rates hit lows not seen since just after 9/11. The ticket price increase outpaced the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics official Consumer Price Index inflation rate of 12% and the College Board’s tuition inflation calculation of 22% for the same time period.
When the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971, general admission was $3.50 – but tickets were also charged separately for rides.
Last month, Universal Orlando raised ticket prices to $92 for a single day.

All the parks are greedy. All they care about is their bottom line and making huge profits. the only time I go is when someone hands me a comp pass. When their prices went above $60.00 for a one day pass, I stopped paying because there is not one theme park in the US worth more than that. They are now catering to the very wealthy and locals don't matter to them unless you want to work for for minimum wage and less than 40 hours a week. (Can't pay those benefits out ya know) Gotta watch that corporate bottom line)
"All parks are greedy". Do you expect them to be a charity? As you said, if the prices are too high don't go and that is your choice to vote on their prices.
