Man Accused of Conning Women In Talent Show Scam Arrested

BREVARD COUNTY, Florida — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is crediting an investigative story aired by CBS Orlando-affiliate Channel 6 News in capturing 47-year-old Scott Gregory Campbell who was wanted on an active arrest warrant for Grand Larceny.

Campbell, who is a resident of Kissimmee, is accused of conning women out of large amounts of money by convincing them to invest in his company’s TV Talent Show.  After the story aired on Channel 6, a number victims and witnesses came forward which investigators say broadened the scope of the investigation.

The GAMEOVER Task Force developed information that Campbell was in Flagler County – possibly at residence on Elk River Drive, Ormond Beach.  On June 5, 2013, the Task Force and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Campbell without incident.  He was transported to the Flagler County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

“The GAMEOVER Task Force is a proven success in removing crime predators from our community,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey in a statement.  “This is just another example of their dedication and commitment to making Brevard County safer.”

Anyone with information about this is urged to call the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office at (321) 633-7162 or CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).

All calls to CRIMELINE are confidential, and callers can remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
