MIMS, Florida — A Brevard County teen suffered critical injuries when a vehicle crashed into a house in Mims, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 17-year-old from Titusville, Florida was driving a 2006 Hyundai 4-Door northbound on Myrtle Avenue around 10:45 p.m. last night when, for an unknown reason, he lost control and left the roadway.
The Hyundai traveled through a fence and the front of the vehicle struck a house in the 3000 block of East Main Street. The teen was trapped inside the Hyundai and had to be extricated by Brevard County Fire Rescue crews before being air lifted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.
According to FHP, the Hyundai had been reported stolen and that the teen does not have a driver’s license.
The occupants inside the home were not injured in the crash.
FHP say that the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending in this case.
