SHARPES, Florida — Earlier this afternoon, Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting in the 6900 block of Ash Drive in Sharpes, Florida.
Upon arrival, deputies say they were told that two people had been shot and that the shooter had fled the scene on foot. The two victims were located and transported with what appears to be non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Deputies quickly established a perimeter and located the lone suspect, who is currently in custody.
Investigators have determined that this was not a random incident and is alleged to have been drug related. The investigation is on-going and further information will be released as the investigation progresses.
