MELBOURNE, Florida — The Melbourne Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting in the 800 block of Cedar Drive in Melbourne, Florida.

Officers responded to a call regarding the sounds of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they found a man with a single gunshot wound to his leg. The victim was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in critical condition and has undergone surgery.
